My favorite quote is "Those who say it can't be done are usually interrupted by the people doing it."  My pet peeves are indecisiveness, waste, personal agendas, and incorrect grammar. Meyers-Briggs has me pegged as ENTJ, which puts me in the same league as Margaret Thatcher and Jean-Luc Picard. I speak English, German, French, and some Italian and Spanish--and am obviously a fan of the Oxford comma.

Joined as MANAGER, PMO and TRAINING¸ in which I led Meditology's PMO team of 6 for 20 project leads to ensure successful project deliveries across 8 service lines with 150+ projects, from HITRUST to Ethical Hacking engagements for $16m practice portfolio. Initiated and designed Program & Process Management Office strategy and governance including processes, templates, tools, metrics, and resource forecasting incl. standardization of GAAP accounting to eliminate client delivery stovepipes. Improved quality and timeliness of program & process performance communication and staffing forecasts to simplify and streamline schedule and budget planning across all service lines. Created & grew Training Department from scratch, including skills gap analysis, selection and implementation of LMS, course development framework, and L&D staff across both companies. Delivered 100+ courses to increase performance and deliverable quality of offshore and onshore staff. As SENIOR MANAGER, KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT, managed identification, documentation, and optimization of critical production workflows and processes across both companies in order to drive new product development, including Third-Party Incident Response framework, Deliverable Quality Issues handling. Built and led data-driven Quality Assurance program for monitoring and improvement of onshore and offshore TPRM deliverables across 5 Service Lines; designed Data Model for integrated metrics. Consulted on AI implementation.​

Managed IT development and modernization projects of varying complexities for Microsoft Sharepoint group and Electronic Data Management group, including comprehensive database (Oracle), middleware (IBM MQ, Solace), and complete system upgrades.  Led international teams of up to 20, with budgets up to $500k.

  • TDSIC Program:  Managed engineering, materials, land, and services planning and procurement, permitting, construction oversight, and detailed forecasting/ executive reporting on gas transmission and distribution projects and programs. Locally distributed teams from 5-15, with budgets up to $2m.

  • IT Projects:  Led project recovery on high-profile corporate IT projects and managed component development projects of multi-vendor mainframe-server-client-based Customer Information System to support gas and electric meter management, financials, and Rate Cases, for 1.5 m customers in 8 states.  Ensured SLA compliance for Application Availability and Project Performance across distributed teams.

COMPUTER AND DATA SCIENTIST, VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY

AUGUST 2011 - PRESENT

Teach graduate courses in IT Risk Management, IT Auditing, Data Science and AI, Databases and BI, IT Project Management, Six Sigma, and Health Informatics. Coach Greenbelt candidates on various industrial process improvement projects. 

  • Directed M.S. Thesis to mine active Twitter streams for criminal organizing vocabulary.

  • Led NSA Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (IA) accreditation initiative for Cybersecurity program.

  • Developed and implemented Six Sigma Greenbelt certification program and PMO, with $500k process improvements generated in various national and international organizations within first year.

Managed multimillion-dollar technical and business risk volume cradle-to-grave on $1.3B program with 69 projects to integrate, modernize, and maintain Eastern and Western Spacelift Ranges at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg AFB.

Managed planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects and processes, incl.

  • CMMI audit across 39 programs within Space Systems Company,

  • Quality testing of 50+ software and hardware packages on GEO3 Satellite

  • Multi-tiered risks and opportunities for $800m program.

Designed, developed, and configured COTS-based network management systems for bicoastal Spacelift Ranges  and managed Oracle backend databases using PL/ SQL, Tivoli, and other languages.
